I work with teams that are either embarking on a new era or creating a new product or service. The stakes are high and require complex decision making. Foresight is paramount. This is where I enter, enhancing your peripheral vision, connecting all people inside your system, and delivering solutions that have a long-lasting impact.

My Approach

I want to know your goals, I want to know your teams and I want to know your audience. Motivations are often the hardest to figure out but yield many benefits once they are discovered.

I observe and predict, which means I ask the right questions until I discover the hidden patterns. I translate the patterns into elegant possibilities so we can have productive discourse about ideas. These ideas must be systems-focused.

Together, we explore these future possibilities, weighing external and internal factors. It’s important that the team is excited about the big idea AND understands clearly the steps (process) needed to get there — macro and micro solutioning. My role is to discover the ideas, communicate them, and enable not just a thing, but systems and senses.

In a world where anyone can generate a prototype in an afternoon, it’s increasingly important to stop and ask the harder questions: how do real people think, what drives their behavior, how do they make decisions? That understanding is the difference between a weak product propped up by good marketing and one that works, scales, and earns real loyalty. It’s where I start — and, too often, it’s the fatal skipped step.

Working Together

Embedded Leadership

For organizations with a complex problem to solve, a desire to raise the standard across the business, and a need to scale systematically. They want a leader who has not only led large, global teams, but who has keen instincts and has consistently created work that connects with audiences.

Fractional Design Leader

For founders or senior leaders who need a collaborator to build out a new product or experience. They want someone who can lead independently, focus on the heavy lift first, then scale the product and team as they grow — in an emotionally healthy way.

Focused Engagements

For leaders and project teams that have an initiative that they need to get right. It’s a complex problem and they want to discover new or better ways to operate and serve their customers. They want someone who has a proven track record translating strategy into revenue growth and they want to work directly with that person. They don’t want to deal with large delivery teams.

A Good Fit

The founder building from zero

You have the vision and the funding, and now you want to collaborate with someone to build some real and resonant. You want someone who has had a lot of success creating 0-to-1 products. You don’t want to hand it to an agency that doesn’t feel the stakes that you do and puts too many people between you and the talent. In a world where anyone can spin up a prototype, you want someone who understands how people think, behave, and decide. You need a partner who can shape the foundation, build the beta, and grow the team as you scale — someone who works the way you do and cares as much as you do.

The leader facing corporate pressures

Your team is capable, but the organization is constantly changing priorities and product quality and focus are slipping inch by inch. Decisions are slow, conversations are circular, ideas aren’t landing, and there is no method to this madness. Everyone can feel it. You don’t need another consultant with a deck. You need someone who can step in, bring both discipline and energy, strengthen the partnerships within the organization, and help your people find their way again.

The team with an initiative they can’t get wrong

The problem is complex, the stakes are high, there are a lot of opinions, and this is one you have to get right. You want someone with a proven track record in innovation and experience design. You need clarity, foresight, forward-thinking ideas rooted in how people actually behave, and a partner you can count on to make sense of it with you.

Leading with Character

White-collar work has long placed a high premium on big brains and efficiency. AI is challenging that premium, so where is our human potential? The future will be about heart, imagination, and taste — taste that comes from a trained eye. And all of this must be led with character. Culture follows.
